Terms & Conditions for Savage Travel Co. Adventure Travel Club.
1. Responsibility for Transportation.
You are responsible for arranging your own transportation to the start & end destinations of the trip. Savage Travel Co. will not provide transportation services.
2. Travel Documents and Visas.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary travel documents and visas required for your trip. Savage Travel Co. is not responsible for any delays or expenses incurred due to incomplete or incorrect documentation.
3. Compliance with Local Laws and Customs.
You must follow all local laws and customs throughout your trip. Failure to do so may result in penalties or legal consequences. Savage Travel Co. will not be held responsible for any such consequences.
4. Accommodation Payment.
Payment for accommodation is required to reserve your spot on the trip. It needs to be paid 1 month before the departure date.
5. Trip Kitty Payment.
A trip kitty is required to cover expenses not included in the base cost of the trip, such as transportation, tolls, national park entrances, and meals as listed in the itinerary. The trip kitty is to be paid in full 14 days prior to the departure date.
6. Exclusions of Trip Kitty.
The trip kitty does not include the cost of any activities or any medical expenses incurred during the trip. Travellers are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own activities and medical insurance.
7. Limitation of Liability.
Savage Travel Co. is a non-profit travel club and does not act as a travel agent or tour agency. As such, it does not provide any insurance and disclaims all liability for any cancelled activities, changes to the itinerary, or lost/damaged belongings, any medical needs, or other unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the trip. Travellers are strongly encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance to cover such risks.
8. Right to Remove Participants.
Savage Travel Co. reserves the right to remove any participant from the trip for any reason deemed necessary, including but not limited to disruptive behaviour, violation of local laws or customs, or failure to comply with safety regulations.
9. Itinerary Changes.
Any changes to the itinerary must be decided by a majority vote among the participants. However, Savage Travel Co. reserves the right to veto any such changes deemed unsafe or impractical due to time constraints or other factors.
10. General Provisions.
These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Savage Travel Co. (the "Club") and any person who registers for or participates in any Savage Travel Co. Adventure Travel Club activity (the "Participant").
By registering for or participating in any Savage Travel Co. Adventure Travel Club activity, the Participant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
II. Accommodation and Travel Costs.
The Club will make every effort to provide the accommodation and travel arrangements as described in the itinerary. However, the Club cannot guarantee that there will be no changes to these arrangements.
The Club may need to make changes to the accommodation or travel arrangements due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, such as weather conditions, road closures, or natural disasters. The Club will notify the Participant of any changes as soon as possible.
The Club will not be liable for any costs incurred by the Participant as a result of changes to the accommodation or travel arrangements, including but not limited to additional accommodation costs, transportation costs, or food costs.
12. Unforeseen Costs.
The Club cannot guarantee that there will be no unforeseen costs associated with the trip. These costs may include, but are not limited to, medical expenses, visa fees, and cancellation fees.
The Participant is responsible for covering any unforeseen costs that they may incur during the trip. The Club will not reimburse the Participant for any unforeseen costs.
13. Indemnification.
The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold the Club harmless from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with the Participant's participation in any Savage Travel Co. Adventure Travel Club activity.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be resolved by arbitration in Sweden in accordance with the Swedish Arbitration Act (1999:116).
15. Entire Agreement.
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Club and the Participant with respect to the subject matter hereof.
No modification or amendment of these terms and conditions shall be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties.
16. Severability.
If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck from these terms and conditions and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Notices.
All notices and other communications hereunder shall be in writing.
18. Counterparts.
This Agreement may be executed in one or more counterparts, each of which shall be deemed an original, but all of which together shall constitute one and the same instrument.
By participating in any trip organised by Savage Travel Co. Adventure Travel Club, you agree to abide by these general terms and conditions. Each trip may have its own specific terms. Please ensure you review them prior to departure.
